Corpus Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how LiJordan ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in the Corpus mobile application ("App").
Corpus has no account system, no server of its own, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device. The App's only connection is to Apple's App Store, when you buy or restore Corpus Premium or the App checks whether it is unlocked, and nothing you have entered goes with it (Section 5.1). If you connect Apple Health, Corpus only reads two values from it and never writes anything back. The only information that ever reaches us is an email you choose to send (Section 9).
1. Information We Collect
The App collects no information about you. Corpus has no account system, so there is nothing to attach information to, and it has no server to send anything to. If you email us, we receive that email — see Section 9.
Specifically, Corpus does not:
- ask you to create an account or provide a name, email address or phone number
- include advertising, tracking, analytics or crash-reporting software, or use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
- collect your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone
- send your profile, measurements, training or Health data to us or to anyone else
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores what you enter locally, in its own private storage, so it is there the next time you open it:
- your profile: sex and date of birth (used only to choose the age- and sex-appropriate norms your results are compared against), optional height and weight, the hero you are training toward, the date you started, and the date you last completed a check-in
- your measurements: each value, its date, and whether you typed it or imported it from Apple Health
- the practices you marked as done, and the exercise sets you logged
- a small bookmark recording which Apple Health samples the App has already read, so the same value is never imported twice
- your app settings, such as units, reminder times, the Health sync switch, and whether you have read the breath-hold safety screen
- whether Corpus Premium was unlocked the last time the App checked, so that it opens correctly before it checks again (Section 5.1)
This data never leaves your device on its own. We cannot see it, and we have no way to retrieve it. It may be included in your own iPhone or iCloud device backup, or a backup of your iPhone on a computer, which are managed by you and by Apple under Apple's terms, not ours.
2.1 Exporting Your Data
Profile → Data and privacy → Export puts your data into files and hands them to the iOS share sheet: spreadsheets (CSV) of your measurements and exercise sets, or a full archive (JSON) that also includes your profile and completed practices. Where the files go is your choice — Files, AirDrop, Mail or another app. Corpus does not send them anywhere itself, and once you have shared a copy, that copy is under your control, not ours.
3. Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional, and Corpus works fully without it. If you allow it, Corpus reads two types of data and nothing else:
- VO₂ max (cardio fitness)
- resting heart rate
Corpus never writes anything to Apple Health. It reads only when you ask it to import — from Profile → Health or during setup — or, if you turn on Sync in the background, each time the App opens and whenever Apple Health reports that one of those two values has changed. A value it reads is copied into your Corpus log on your device and marked as imported from Health.
Data from Apple Health:
- never leaves your device through Corpus, and is never sent to us
- is never shared with or sold to any third party
- is never used for advertising, marketing or any similar purpose
- is never stored by Corpus in iCloud
You can review or withdraw access at any time in the Health app (your profile → Apps → Corpus) or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. Withdrawing access stops all further reads; values already imported stay in your Corpus log until you delete them or erase all data (Section 6). Your data inside Apple Health itself is managed by Apple and is not affected by anything Corpus does.
4. Notifications
If you turn them on and allow notifications, Corpus can remind you once a day at a time you choose, and once on the day a four-weekly check-in falls due. Both are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. There are no push notifications, no notification server and no device token.
5. Third-Party Services
Corpus contains no third-party SDKs. Apple distributes the App through the App Store, under Apple's Privacy Policy.
The App links to the published studies behind its norms and to this website. Those links open in Safari, and the sites they lead to have their own privacy policies.
5.1 Purchases (Corpus Premium)
Corpus Premium is an optional subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the purchase, the payment and any refund, under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your name, your Apple ID, your payment details or your billing address.
To know whether Premium is unlocked, the App asks Apple's StoreKit framework on your device. Apple answers with a signed record of the purchase — which plan, when it started, and when it renews or ends — which the App verifies on your device and uses only to unlock Premium. That record is never sent to us. Nothing you have entered in Corpus — your profile, measurements, training or Health data — is sent with a purchase, a restore or a check.
Buying or restoring Premium needs an internet connection; everything else in Corpus works without one.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data stays on your device for as long as the App is installed. Profile → Data and privacy → Erase all data deletes your profile, measurements, completed practices, exercise sets, the Health bookmark and any exported copies the App still holds, and turns off reminders and background Health sync; the App then starts again from the beginning. Your app preferences — such as units and whether you have read the breath-hold safety screen — stay on the device until you delete the App. Deleting the App removes everything it stored. Neither affects your data in Apple Health, or files you have already shared elsewhere. Neither cancels a Corpus Premium subscription either: that is managed by Apple, in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
7. Children's Privacy
Corpus is not directed at children under 13 and does not accept a date of birth that would make its user younger than 13. The date of birth it asks for is used only to choose age-appropriate norms and never leaves the device.
8. Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Everything the App knows is on your own device, where you can correct it, export it (Section 2.1) or erase it (Section 6) at any time; we hold none of it. If you have emailed us, you can ask us at any time for a copy of that correspondence or for its deletion.
9. Contacting Us
If you write to us — from Profile → About Corpus → Write to us, or directly — we receive your email address, your name if your mail app includes it, and what you write. A message started from the App also carries a few lines below your text: the App's version, your device model, your iOS version and the App's language. They are visible in the draft before you send it, and you can delete them. Nothing else from the App is attached.
We use your email only to answer you. We keep it only as long as we need to handle your request, never share or sell it, and delete it whenever you ask.
10. Updates to This Policy
If a future version of Corpus ever changes how information is handled — for example by adding optional backup — we will update this policy and change the effective date above before that version is released.
