When you create an account or log in via Google, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Profile photo URL

1.2 Device Information

We automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • Anonymous usage analytics

1.3 Camera Data

When you use the species/plant identification feature, we access your device's camera to capture images. These images are processed to identify species and provide information. We do not store these images on our servers after processing, unless explicitly stated for a specific feature you opt into (e.g., saving identified species to your collection).

1.4 Cloud Sync Data

If you sign in with your Google account, the following data may be synced to our cloud servers (Firebase Firestore) to enable cross-device access and backup:

  • Your profile information
  • Your detection/scan history
  • Your favorites and saved collections

🌊 Oceanus - Additional Data

  • Species Detection Data: Identified marine species, detection timestamps, first discovery flags, and image references
  • Garmin Integration: If you connect your Garmin account, we receive dive activity data including depth profiles, timestamps, water temperature, and device information. This data is used solely to display your dive history within the app and link species discoveries to specific dives.

🌿 Terra - Additional Data

  • Plant Recognition Data: Identified plant species, scan dates, and related metadata
  • Location Data: With your permission, we may access your location to show which plants may exist in your area
  • Recipe Data: AI-generated herbal recipes with ingredients, instructions, and associated health concerns

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used for the following purposes:

  • To provide personalized content and identification results
  • To improve the functionality and accuracy of our AI features
  • To sync your data across devices when signed in
  • To show relevant advertisements
  • To communicate important updates or changes
  • To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to improve our apps:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication, database, analytics, performance tracking, and cloud data storage
  • Firebase App Check: To protect our backend resources from abuse
  • Google Gemini AI: To power species/plant identification and information retrieval features
  • AdMob (Google Ads): To display advertisements
  • Google UMP: To manage user consent for personalized advertising
  • Amplitude Analytics: For additional app analytics and user behavior analysis
  • Google Play Billing: To process in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • Garmin Connect API: To sync dive log data (Oceanus only, with explicit consent)

These third-party services may collect and process user data as outlined in their respective privacy policies.

Important: We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data shared with third-party services is used solely to provide app functionality.

4. Data Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest when stored in Firebase Firestore. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
