Terra Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Terra mobile application ("App") developed by LiJordan, on Android and iOS. By downloading, installing, or using Terra, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Terra, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Terra is a mobile application that provides:

• Medicinal plant identification using AI-powered image recognition
• Information about medicinal properties and traditional uses of herbs
• AI-generated personalized herbal recipes
• Personal collection of favorite herbs and saved recipes
• A map of your own plant sightings, with a climate-zone overlay and location-based plant insights
• Cloud synchronization when signed in with Google or Apple

Terra is free to download. A limited number of AI plant identifications and AI recipe generations are included at no cost; further use requires a Premium subscription (see Section 8). Users without an active subscription see advertising within the App.

3. Medical Disclaimer

• All information in Terra is for educational purposes only
• Information is NOT medical advice and should not replace professional medical consultation
• We do NOT guarantee the accuracy of plant identification or medicinal information
• NEVER consume any plant or herb based solely on App identification
• ALWAYS consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any herbal remedies
• Some plants may be toxic, allergenic, or interact with medications
• Pregnant or nursing women should exercise extra caution
• We are NOT responsible for any adverse effects from using information in the App

4. User Accounts

• You may use certain features without creating an account
• Full features require signing in with Google or Apple
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You agree to provide accurate information
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the App

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to harass or harm others
• Upload malicious content or compromise App security
• Use automated systems or bots
• Circumvent usage limits or access restrictions
• Distribute App content as medical advice

6. Plant Identification Disclaimer

• AI plant identification is NOT 100% accurate
• Misidentification of plants can be dangerous or fatal
• Always verify plant identification with multiple sources
• When in doubt, do not use the plant
• The App should not be used as sole source for foraging decisions

7. AI Recipe Disclaimer

• AI-generated recipes are for informational purposes only
• Recipes are NOT reviewed by medical professionals
• We do not guarantee safety or effectiveness of any recipe
• Consult a healthcare provider before using any herbal preparation
• Individual reactions to herbs vary; start with small amounts

8. Subscriptions and Payments

• Terra Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: monthly at $3.99 or yearly at $29.99. The yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase and may vary by region.
• Premium removes advertising and lifts the limits on AI plant identification and AI recipe generation
• Subscriptions are processed through Apple StoreKit (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android). We never receive your payment details.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends
• If you take the free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Subscription settings or Google Play account settings; you can also reach these from Settings in the App. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we cannot issue refunds directly

9. Intellectual Property

• The App, including design, features, content, and code, is owned by LiJordan
• Plant images and descriptions are for personal, non-commercial use only
• You may not reproduce or distribute App content without permission

10. User-Generated Content

• Images you capture remain your property
• You grant us a limited license to process images for identification
• We do not claim ownership of your images

11. Privacy

Your use of Terra is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it for details on data collection and use.

12. Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are NOT liable for any health issues arising from use of information in the App
• We are NOT responsible for adverse reactions to herbs or remedies
• We are NOT responsible for harm from plant misidentification
• Maximum liability is limited to amounts paid for subscriptions in the past 12 months

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify LiJordan from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, including any health-related claims.

14. Third-Party Services

• The App integrates with Google, Firebase, Gemini AI, AdMob, Sign in with Apple, Apple StoreKit, and Google Play Billing
• Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms
• We are not responsible for third-party service availability or content

15. Modifications

We may:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
• Update these Terms as needed

16. Termination

• You may stop using the App by uninstalling it
• We may terminate access for Terms violations
• Request account deletion by contacting us

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland.
